99 Columbus streets getting resurfaced [Video]

Work will begin next construction season.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Nearly 100 streets around Columbus will be getting a facelift next year.

The City of Columbus announced it will be repaving 99 streets in the second resurfacing project funded by the 2024 capital budget. This comes in addition to the 97 streets included in the first 2024 project.

The resurfacing project will also construct 326 new ADA curb ramps along those 99 streets. Work will begin next construction season.

Approximately $30.3 million went into this resurfacing investment.

“Repaired and repaved pavement on streets in neighborhoods all around our city provides safe, smooth travel for driving, biking or crossing the street,” said  Kelly Scocco, director of the Department of Public Service. “The city’s resurfacing program is an important commitment in the city’s capital budget to ensure we properly maintain city streets that serve all residents.”
