Remembering Ms. Samson, NEHS teacher killed in fatal car crash | News [Video]

EUGENE, Ore. – Co-workers, current and former students are remembering 55-year old Amy Samson, the North Eugene High School art teacher who was killed in a fatal car crash in Eugene on Tuesday morning.

After Eugene School District 4J officials confirmed her death Tuesday night in an email to students, parents and staff at NEHS, news of her death began spreading on social media.

Musician and author Sam Wartenbee graduated from North Eugene High School in 2004, and in a tribute to Samson on social media, credits her with nurturing his creative side.
