In a powerful address at the extended Outreach/BRICS Plus format session in Kazan, Russian President Vladimir Putin vehemently criticised the West’s strategy regarding Ukraine, branding it an “illusion” that is destined to fail.

He asserted that Western nations are using Ukraine as a Pawn to threaten Russia’s security while underestimating the unity and resilience of the Russian people.

Putin contended that the emergence of a “more just world order” is being obstructed by forces committed to domination, as evidenced by “unlawful unilateral sanctions” and interference in the affairs of other nations disguised as concerns for democracy and human rights.

He warned that such actions are undermining both regional and global strategic stability and fostering interstate conflicts.
