The love lives of celebrities are, more often than not, bound to end up in the public eye – but Gen Z are being accused of ‘pestering’ and ‘harassing’ famous people into discussing their sexuality following singer Shawn Mendes‘s candid address about his ‘truth’.

Last week the Canadian musician, 26, spoke to the crowd during one intimate moment of his For Friends and Family Tour show, and addressed his love life.

Telling his fans he was trying to be ‘really brave’, the singer — who famously dated Camila Cabello — revealed he was still ‘figuring it out.’

‘There’s this thing about my sexuality, and people have been talking about it so long,’ he added, saying it was ‘kind of silly, because I think sexuality is such a beautifully complex thing, and it’s so hard to just put into boxes.’
