Chicopee Police stepping up patrols to combat speeding concerns [Video]

CHICOPEE, MA (WGGB/WSHM) – Chicopee Police reported Friday that speeding has continued to be a major complaint from residents across the city.

In a social media post, the department said that, with an anticipated increase in traffic due to the upcoming holiday season, additional traffic patrols will be hitting the streets.

These additional units will be focusing on speeding and distracted driving.

The department encourages everyone to slow down, put your phones away, and drive safe.
