Nearly 80 million people will be traveling 50 miles or more from home over the Thanksgiving holiday travel period, according to AAA.AAA estimates that more than 71 million of those people will be traveling by car from Tuesday through Monday, Dec. 2.An estimated 3.1 million people who live in New England are expected to drive 50 miles or more from home over Thanksgiving, an increase of 2.1% compared to last year.New England will see two storm systems this week that will likely bring wintry weather to parts of the region, including areas of Maine.On Tuesday morning, a system move into Maine that will bring rain to areas closer to the coast, freezing rain and snow in the mountains, and freezing rain and sleet in the foothills and valleys.
