December Teacher Spotlight Award recipient announced [Video]

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – The December winner of the Teacher Spotlight Award was announced and presented with her award on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Kay Ballard, a reading and language arts teacher at Cunningham Elementary, was selected as this month’s winner.

Amy Simmons, the Principal of Cunningham Elementary, said Ms. Ballard has the complete engagement of her students, and that it is not uncommon to walk into her classroom to see Ms. Ballard dressed up to help get the kids invested in their current lesson.
