Taipei, Taiwan – Tensions are running high in Taiwan’s Legislative Yuan as Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) lawmaker Ke Jianming has launched a bold initiative, calling for the recall of 41 Kuomintang (KMT) legislators. this unprecedented move comes amid growing political turmoil and a fierce battle over controversial legislation.
Jianming, chief convener of the DPP’s Legislative Yuan Caucus, announced his “double strike” strategy on Thursday, aiming to both re-elect the legislature president and remove the KMT legislators. he framed his actions as a necessary response to what he perceives as the KMT’s betrayal of taiwan.
