The greater Los Angeles region has been devastated this week by wildfires that have ravaged homes, destroyed structures, displaced residents and leveled communities in the Pacific Palisades, Malibu and beyond.

While a few of the more dangerous fires have been contained due to the brave efforts of the fire department and first responders, others have remained a problem due to fierce Santa Ana winds that have expanded the spread of the flames.

With the region home to many notable members of the entertainment world, some have taken to social media to share their firsthand experiences throughout this ordeal — and, just as with the local news broadcasts that have put the unfathomable devastation into perspective, some of the visuals shared by those right in the middle of the scene are particularly harrowing.
