Kelly’s Roast Beef, the Massachusetts-based restaurant franchise that lays claim to inventing the modern roast beef sandwich, has a new owner and big plans for future expansion.Burlington-based AAM15 Management announced the acquisition of the brand and the restaurants in Saugus, Medford, Danvers and Revere Beach on Tuesday. The firm said it brings “years of experience” managing hotels, food and beverage operations.AAM15 previously franchised the Salem, Worcester and Dedham locations under the Kelly’s brand. “It’s an iconic brand. It’s on me to take (over) as a steward of it and bring it to the next level,” said Masse, a Salem native and CEO of AAM15. Masse and his fellow investors said they plan to upgrade existing locations and open up seven new restaurants in Burlington, Woburn, Waltham, Framingham, Natick and Braintree in Massachusetts and Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
