What do people think of when they hear Ahwatukee? [Video]

PHOENIX — What would you call Ahwatukee? More than 100 people have ideas!

In a post in a Facebook group, JG Makel asked for ideas for a cool, short slogan that describes Ahwatukee, that could be put on the wall of the second location of the BBQ restaurant Word of Mouth Grill, which will be opening in Ahwatukee. 

And based on the comments section, there are plenty of slogans to choose from! 

“Ahwatukee, biggest cul-de-sac and biggest heart,” one user wrote. 

“Ahwatukee: Where Desert Beauty Meets Community Spirit,” another user wrote.

There were a lot of mentions of the cul-de-sac, which is what Tukee is referred to as unofficially: “The World’s Largest Cul-de-Sac,” according to a Bustle article titled “17 Signs You Grew Up in Ahwatukee.”

Other users took the road less traveled and pointed out how Tukee is “very different” from Phoenix.
