“There are no words that can ease the sorrow and sadness we feel right now,” Morgan County Charter Schools wrote in a social media post.
MORGAN COUNTY, Ga. — Two students at Morgan County Middle School were killed in an ATV crash on Monday, according to officials.
Georgia State Patrol said troopers responded to the crash on Old Buckhead Road shortly after 5 p.m. GSP said three young boys were involved in the crash.
According to GSP’s preliminary investigation, a Polaris UTV was heading south on Old Buckhead Road when it struck the front of a lowboy trailer that was parked in a private driveway.
GSP said two 12-year-olds, who were in the driver and front seat passenger, were killed, and another 12-year-old, who was in the rear passenger seat, sustained minor injuries.
In a heartbreaking social media post, Morgan County Charter Schools said it’s mourning the loss of the students after the tragic accident.
