CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The documentary titled Selena y Los Dinos officially won an award at the Sundance Film Festival. The award named U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award for Archival Storytelling.
The film provided an in-depth look at the life and impact of the Tejano music icon and never-before-seen-footage from the Quintanilla family’s personal archive.
The announcement was made Friday from an Instagram post by Chris Perez who thanked everyone for voting and continuing to support Selena’s legacy.
