A woman who corrected a fellow traveler’s pronunciation of the word “Porsche” after the latter claimed to be German has received backing online.
Reddit user U/BinEinePloerre shared her story on the “AITAH [Am I The A*****]” sub, where it garnered 29,000 upvotes.
She explained that she was traveling in a different country and staying in a hostel, where there was a mix of people from various cultures.
“There was one woman from the US and we were all just talking about random stuff. We touched the topic of cars and someone mentioned that they were planning on buying a Porsche.
“The American woman tried to correct the guy saying ‘you know, that’s wrong, it’s actually pronounced <completely wrong way to pronounce it>. I just chuckled and said ‘no…he actually said it right.”
