SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — Residents in a Northwest Bexar County neighborhood are on the lookout after someone reported a large cat wandering through a greenbelt area.
The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media that they were contacted by a resident who saw a large, long-tailed cat near Foxen Way in a subdivision off Highway 16 in Helotes.
Deputies drove over to investigate, but didn’t find the animal.
BCSO is urging residents in the area to remain vigilant and exercise caution until they capture the animal.
They suggest keeping your pets inside and keep an eye on your children while they play outside.
In the meantime, they’re asking anyone who may spot the large cat to call the sheriff’s office at 210-335-6000.
