Benzino has some choice words for Elliot Wilson.
During an interview with Big Loon’s It’s Up There Podcast, Benzino spoke about the storied history of The Source magazine. He then accused Wilson of copying the “Bible of Hip-Hop” when he left the company. Benzino also described Wilson as “my son.”
“How can you verse something that copied everything from you? If somebody came in here right now, put a table over there,” Zino asked. “Doing the same thing you were but then calling it something else, what are you gonna say? That’s what they did.”
He went on to say that Willson did not build anything that could compare to his company and that XXL was a “knockoff of The Source.”
The Source co-founder claims Wilson stole ideas from the magazine.
Benzino said, “The Source was a conglomerate.”
