Betty Gilpin to Replace Cole Escola in Broadway’s ‘Oh, Mary!’ [Video]

Betty Gilpin is stepping into the White House!

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, producers of Broadway’s Oh, Mary! announced that the GLOW alum, 38, will be taking over the role of Mary Todd Lincoln from playwright and actor Cole Escola in a limited 8-week engagement at the Lyceum Theater in New York City beginning Jan. 21, 2025.

Escola’s final performance will be on Jan. 19. Gilpin’s run is set to end on March 16.

Directed by Sam Pinkleton, Oh, Mary! marks Gilpin’s Broadway debut, although she has appeared in the Off-Broadway productions of I’m Gonna Pray For You So Hard at Atlantic Theater Company and Heartless at Signature Theatre.
