The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday, and the man injured showed up at Eskenazi Hospital roughly an hour later, police said.
INDIANAPOLIS — Tuesday morning, IMPD announced the arrest of an 18-year-old after a shooting inside Castleton Square Mall on the city’s northeast side Monday evening during a busy holiday shopping period. A man was shot in the incident.
The suspect faces a preliminary charge of felony intimidation with a deadly weapon for his alleged involvement in the shooting, police said.

“This arrest came just a few short hours after the incident occurred,” an IMPD spokesperson said in a statement. “Detectives believe all individuals were known to each other and were involved in a disturbance when the shooting occurred.”
