CHICO, Calif. – Students at Chico High School got to test their skills, strength, and experience unique training situations via virtual reality headsets on Wednesday.
Recruiters from the United States Navy spent the day at Chico High School showcasing through their Strike Group what opportunities lie ahead for student who are interested in enlisting in the U.S. Navy.
From friendly competitions to experiencing different scenarios through virtual reality, students got to participate in and enjoy all sorts of unique experiences.
“This was really cool,” said Sam Stephens, a student at Chico High School. “This was great. You got to fly a helicopter, you got to drive a tank, and it really felt like you were on the aircraft or the ship. It was in the water you could see your hands and everything.”
