Chris McNally Teases New Love Interest for Lucas in ‘When Calls the Heart’ Season 12 [Video]

Will Lucas Bouchard get his happily ever after? When Calls the Heart’s saloon owner turned governor has been single since his fiancé Elizabeth called off their engagement at the end of season 10. But that could soon change. Lucas actor Chris McNally has hinted that his character might get a new love interest when the show returns for season 12 in January 2025. 

Lucas had quite the journey in When Calls the Heart Season 11. After surviving an assassination attempt in the season 10 finale, he threw himself into his work as governor while trying to discover who was behind the attempt on his life. Eventually, he learned that his former flame Jeannette (Cecilia Deacon) betrayed him. His entanglement with a criminal caused him to question his judgment and led some to call for his resignation.
