MUSKOGEE, Okla. — The City of Muskogee created the new Film Muskogee Department to help incentivize and attract filmmakers to create projects in the city.
“If you actually come and film a movie in Muskogee, there’s up to a 25K dollar incentive that you can get,” said Director of Film Muskogee Bryce Marshall. “We’re still trying to crunch down all the numbers as far as the minimum budget. We don’t have those numbers just quite yet, but that will be the max you can get. We’re also trying to get a TV episode shot here. You can get up to 10K in rebate and also music videos and commercials that will be up to 5K dollars as well.”
Film Muskogee is an extension of Visit Muskogee with both departments actively working to attract people to the city.
