Community Matters facilitates Programs for adults, educational opportunities in a wide range of topics, local outreach, enriching activities, social engagement, staying active and meaningful connections with peers and community. The program is located at Pocahontas Landmark Center, 4290 Anderson Hwy. Expect inclement weather cancelation upon Powhatan County Public School closings or delays due to inclement weather.

March 1310 a.m. The Biscuit Eaters

Enjoy acoustic music by this local group. The Biscuit Eaters have been playing music together in the Powhatan area since about 2014. They enjoy playing a combination of Americana, folk, gospel and a little country. All the members grew up in Powhatan County and are still residents.

John L Harris is a retired carpenter who has played with local country western, rock, and bluegrass groups. He is accomplished on the guitar and mandolin and is one of the lead singers with the Biscuit Eaters.
