The Deputy Minority Leader in Parliament, Mr Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, has expressed concern over some fraudulent accounts impersonating him on various social media platforms, particularly on Facebook.
“These imposters are engaging in deceitful activities, including promising false assistance in areas like security services recruitment and job opportunities, to defraud unsuspecting individuals,” he said.
A statement issued and signed by Mr Buah, copied to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday reminded the public to avoid falling victims to those fraudsters.
“I am officially present on Facebook including Messenger and Twitter. My only official and authentic Facebook is verified with a blue badge or mark and has over 21,000 followers,” the Member of Parliament for Ellembelle said.
“This distinguishes it from all fake accounts created in my name.”
The statement said anybody who wished to engage with him on Facebook should do so on his official account on Messenger.
