The latest installment of id Software’s Doom franchise won’t end with Doom: The Dark Ages, according to its creative director.
“It isn’t designed to be the end of something,” said creative director Hugo Martin in a preview event (via PC Gamer). “Genuinely, sincerely, we’re really just focused on this right now, but Doom: The Dark Ages isn’t a period on the end of a sentence.”
While it sounds like id Software isn’t currently planning what’s next after Doom: The Dark Ages, the studio isn’t ruling out more games in the universe, and it’s just concentrating on getting its current project out the door first.
