Eastern Regional Minister-designate, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey shaking one the chiefs she visited
The Eastern Regional Minister-designate, Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, has paid a courtesy call on chiefs in Krobo land to seek their prayers, support, and blessings ahead of her vetting by the appointment committee of Parliament of Ghana.
The minister-designate and her delegation visited the Manya Krobo Traditional Council, Okper, and the Yilo Krobo Traditional Council as part of her engagement.
Nene Sakite II, Paramount Chief of Manya Krobo, assured her of the council’s unwavering support, declaring their commitment to ensuring her success.
“This is a time for celebration. I am personally happy that President Mahama appointed our daughter to represent him in the Eastern Region. Very soon she will be going through the vetting process. We will support her through the vetting. So she must not be afraid of anything,” said Nene Sakite II.
