MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis High School graduate has been identified as one of the victims in the plane crash which happened over the Potomac River in Washington D.C. on Jan. 29, 2025.
Casey Crafton was among the 64 passengers who were killed on American Airlines Flight 5342 from Kansas.
Central Baptist School confirmed that Crafton graduated from the school in a social media post made in tribute to him.
The post included a link to a fundraiser for the Crafton Family, which can be found here.
Crafton grew up in Bartlett, where he attended Central Baptist from elementary school through high school, according to Bartlett Alderman Kevin Quinn.
Crafton eventually moved to Connecticut. He was a father of three and a member of the Salem Connecticut Little League.
