Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons hosting Cookie University [Video]

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – Girl Scout cookie season is almost here, but before that comes preparation.

The Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons will host its Cookie University, which will teach scouts several skills to aid their business practices.

Those skills include money management, people skills, and business ethics.

The girls will also learn about Digital Cookie, a sales platform for mobile and online orders that also helps them manage their business.

“Cookie University provides the tools girls need to be successful cookie entrepreneurs,” said Marla Meyer, CEO of Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons. “This is just one example of how the Girl Scout Experience builds the next generation of female leaders.”

Cookie University will take place at Augustana University on Jan. 25.

Cookie sales will begin on Feb. 10.
