Greenville police announce opening of safe exchange zone [Video]

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Greenville Police Department announced that it is opening a safe exchange zone for residents to safely do business.

Officials said that the safe exchange zone is being set up in the parking lot of the Greenville Public Safety Complex on Halton Road in order to give residents peace of mind and make them feel safe while making exchanges.

The zone is designated for child custody exchanges and e-commerce transactions such as picking up items bought on Facebook Marketplace.

According to officials, the area will be under 24-hour video surveillance everyday.
