A day after a clip went viral showing Short gushing over her new engagement ring at the 2025 Golden Globes, Gomez revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! what exactly transpired during the moment.
“He’s twisting it. Taking it off,” the Emilia Pérez star, 32, recalled on the show Monday, Jan. 6, as they played the clip for the audience. “I wasn’t sure what he was doing; that’s why I look confused.”
“Is he appraising it? What exactly is he doing there?” host Jimmy Kimmel inquired.
“He just wanted to know what was going on. I don’t think he cared. Maybe a little … ” she said with a laugh, while miming a drinking motion.
