Recycle your live Christmas tree in Huntsville on January 11! Drop off at John Hunt Park from 8-11 a.m.
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — As the holiday season draws to a close, it’s time to say goodbye to that festive live Christmas tree. To make the process easier and more environmentally friendly, the City of Huntsville is launching Operation Christmas Cleanup.
This initiative, in collaboration with the City of Madison, Madison County Commission, Solid Waste Disposal Authority, and Recycling Alliance of North Alabama, aims to help residents dispose of their holiday greenery.
On Saturday, January 11, from 8 to 11 a.m., residents can drop off their live trees, along with flattened cardboard boxes, batteries, and electronics, at John Hunt Park, located at 2315 Airport Road. The trees collected will be repurposed into mulch, enhancing public areas across the city.
If you’re in Madison, you can drop off items at Madison City Schools Stadium at 211 Celtic Drive.
