Jennifer Hudson Calls Common ‘Bossy’ During Recording Sessions [Video]

Jennifer Hudson and Common are one of the most beloved celebrity couples today. But even they encounter issues while working together.

During an appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Wednesday, Nov. 27, Hudson shared her insight about making music with Common.

“I mean, we’re both very musical,” Hudson said. “Two Chicagoans and I was like, ‘Where’s the poetry and the storytelling in the holiday albums?’ And who better to do it than him? To do, like, spoken-word poetry for the holidays? And so that’s where the song came from.”

While their chemistry is undeniable, she admitted that there were some challenges.

“He’s a bit bossy when it comes to being Common,” the Oscar winner explained.

“Common and Rashid are two different people musically. But he’s a musical genius, so it’s an honor to be able to work from him, work for him, work with him, and on his album and my album,” …
