Jimmy Carter earns 10th Grammy nomination at 100 years old [Video]

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Former President Jimmy Carter is celebrating another milestone.

On Friday, the Recording Academy announced Carter had received his 10th Grammy Award nomination.

The former president is nominated for best album in the Audio Book, Narration and Storytelling Recording category for “Last Sundays in Plains: A Centennial Celebration,” a collection of Carter’s Sunday school lessons at Maranatha Baptist Church in Plains, Georgia.

Other nominees include Dolly Parton, George Clinton and Barbra Streisand.

Last month, Carter became the first former president to reach the age of 100. His latest Grammy nod makes him the oldest nominee in the award’s history, according to the BBC.

Carter, who’s been in hospice care since February 2023, previously won three Grammys in the Best Spoken Word Album category.
