immy John’s is bringing back a fan favorite with a side of teenage angst.
To celebrate the nationwide return of Kickin’ Ranch, the sandwich chain has dropped ‘Bring Back my Kickin’ Ranch,’ a pop-punk anthem inspired entirely by social media comments begging for the sauce’s return. The campaign, created with VaynerMedia, turns customer obsession into a full-fledged music video straight out of the MySpace era.
The video leans heavily into early 2000s nostalgia, with overexposed, heavily filtered shots that look lifted from a scene kid’s profile page. Band members don striped shirts, fishnet wristwarmers, spiky hair, and, of course, plenty of eyeliner.
The lo-fi, DIY aesthetic makes it feel like a group of angsty teens filmed it in the rural hometown they can’t wait to leave – except instead of heartbreak, their biggest woe is missing …
