Konnan Takes Aim At AEW Champion Who Doesn’t Come Across As A Star [Video]

Konnan has taken aim at one current champion in AEW, who the Mexican wrestling legend believes struggles to come across as a true star.

On a recent edition of his “K100” podcast, Konnan reviewed last week’s episode of AEW Dynamite and made his views clear on Konosuke Takeshita. He said,

“Takeshita won. I guess they’re trying to push him, but he doesn’t really come off like a star.”

Takeshita joined AEW in 2022 and is part of the Don Callis Family. He captured the AEW International Title last month at Wrestle Dream.

On the podcast, Konnan also criticized AEW’s production, arguing that the show looked “low-budget” and that TNA looks better on TV.

Konnan added that AEW needs to improve its lighting and stage in order to look like a bigger-than-average independent promotion.
