The Municipality of Lakeshore is proposing a 7.66 per cent tax increase for next year.
Mayor Tracey Bailey said if the draft budget is approved, the increase would lead to residents paying just over $20 more a month.
Expenditures are up to $66.1 million in 2025, compared to $60.7 million this year.
Major capital projects for Lakeshore include the first phase of the Comber watermain replacement worth $8 million, the Stoney Point Community Park construction worth $3.5 million and more than $3 million for County Road 22 sanitary trunk upgrades.
The municipality has also set aside more than $2 million to replace fire trucks.
