Was there ever really any doubt? On Thursday, October 31, LeBron James officially endorsed Kamala Harris for President of the United States.
LeBron James took to social media to offer up his recommendation. “What are we even talking about here?? When I think about my kids and my family and how they will grow up, the choice is clear to me. VOTE KAMALA HARRIS!!!,” wrote James as a caption for a powerful video that illustrated the racism of GOP candidate Donald Trump.
King James supporting Harris was a foregone conclusion considering history. You may have forgotten that while Trump was in office, the future NBA Hall of Famer was not a fan, actually getting into a social media row with the ex-president. James famously called the convicted felon a “bum” on Twitter (when it was still called Twitter) in 2017 when referring to Trump being butthurt (respectfully) about NBA players (specifically Steph Curry) curving White House visits. The tweet is still up.
U bum @StephenCurry30already …
