Lexington County locals share which county services are most important to them [Video]

LEXINGTON, S.C. — Earlier this month, Lexington County released a survey they’re asking residents to fill out. The county said the initiative is part of its County-Wide Citizen Engagement Study. 

It’s so the county can track what residents want to prioritize when it comes to public services and tax dollars. 

Across the board, residents that News 19 spoke with Wednesday in Lexington County said they want to see their hometown improve.

For some people, like resident Vivian Pate, that means change. 

“The roads are not the greatest, especially where we are on Hermitage Road, and all the back roads that we usually take. There are potholes everywhere, and second, I want to say animal services. I feel like there should be a larger building for animal services. That way …
