Lizzo has finally spoken publicly about the sexual harassment lawsuits filed by three former backup dancers in 2023. During an interview on the Baby, This Is Keke Palmer podcast, released December 19, the singer expressed her shock and sadness about the allegations.
“I was literally living in my dream,” Lizzo, 36, told host Keke Palmer. “Then the tour ended, and three ex-dancers completely blindsided me with a lawsuit.” She emphasized that these individuals, who didn’t complete her arena tour, were people she admired and gave opportunities to.
Lizzo admitted the claims hurt her deeply. “These were people I liked and respected as dancers,” she explained. “Hearing accusations of sexual harassment—it was shocking. It’s the type of thing the media can twist into something it’s not.”
The lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles, accuses Lizzo of creating a hostile work environment, including allegations of sexual harassment and weight shaming. Her company, Big Grrrl Touring, was also implicated. …
