LOUDON CO., Tenn. (WVLT) – Loudon County elections officials are no strangers to being near the top when it comes to voter turnout in November elections.
With one day to go in Tennessee’s early voting period leading up to the November 2024 Presidential election, Loudon County held the top spot in the state in voter turnout.
“I think a lot of it is the older generation and they realize the importance of what this election will mean for the country so they want to get out and make sure their voice be heard,” said Loudon County Administrator of Elections Susan Harrison.
Harrison was giddy Thursday, some of it may be from the fury that is early election season, but also the fact the county she is in charge of getting out the vote for was following suit.
