The Malone Center partnered with the Lincoln Police Department this holiday season to hand out $18,000 to unsuspecting families.
The Random Acts of Kindness program handed out envelopes last week with $300 in cash to 60 Lincoln families over the past week.
“We run a lot of holiday events for the community. Random Acts of Kindness by far is my favorite,” Ishma Valenti, Malone’s director of teen programming and community engagement, said Monday during a ceremony to recognize the giving effort. “The impact is immediate, the impact is real and it’s genuine.”
