EMMERDALE fans have slammed an ‘utter nonsense storyline’ – despite a major character’s comeback.

Fan favourite Ross Barton (Michael Parr) returned to the village last month.

However, viewers soon discovered he was part of an illegal boxing ring.

Taking to social media, disappointed fans shared their thoughts on the story’s direction.

One wrote: “Please make this pointless boxing story come to an end.

“Nobody asked for it.”
