Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell, who is already suing social media giants TikTok and Meta over their impact on kids, is advocating for a new law to restrict cellphone use in schools. “There’s no statewide policy, there’s no statewide standard, there’s no statewide template. The STUDY Act looks to change that,” Campbell said.She spoke about the bill, which was introduced last week, to the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents in Marlborough on Thursday morning.The Study Act would require all public schools to have formal policies regarding cellphones and other personal devices on school grounds.
