MATT SORUM On His Exclusion From GUNS N’ ROSES Reunion: ‘I’m Much More At Peace With It Than I Was In The Very Beginning’ [Video]

In an interview with the “Legends: Podcast” by All Day Vinyl which was originally conducted in May 2024, former GUNS N’ ROSES drummer Matt Sorum was asked if he had a chance to see GN’R perform since the band reunited with guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan. He responded (as transcribed by BLABBERMOUTH.NET): “No, I haven’t got the invite. ‘Hey, come watch the band.’ I’m, like, ‘Eh, I don’t think so.’ [Laughs]”

He continued: “They invited me to come play [with them as a guest], and I declined. I didn’t think it made sense to go play — what? — two songs and then do what? I mean, I play music. I play with musicians.

“So that’s cool. Whatever they’re doing is cool. I’m still living this vagabond dream of journeyman. I kind of like where I’m at as far as taking twists and turns…”
