McDonald’s unveils its feel-good Christmas advert – set to a noughties club classic [Video]

McDonald’s UK has ditched classic Christmas tunes and opted for an electro-house anthem to soundtrack its feel-good festive ad this year. 

The 60-second clip, titled The Gift of McDonald’s, sees iconic characters from the franchise make appearances as giant, dancing Christmas neon-lights.

Instead of using a traditional seasonal jingle, the fast food giant opted to crank up Benny Benassi’s Satisfaction in the background, adding a fun night-club atmosphere to the video.

The fun campaign is an extravaganza of fairy lights, and hopes to remind everyone of the joy of a well-deserved break at McDonald’s amidst the busy holiday period.

Directed by the award-winning, Nicolai Fuglsig, it follows a couple sitting in their car after a busy day of buying Christmas presents for their family. 

Eventually, they spot the Golden Arches glowing in the distance and are enticed to spontaneously visit McDonald’s via a larger-than-life light display.
