Metroparks recruiting for the Volunteer Trail Patrol [Video]

TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – It’s a new year and a new season for the Toledo Metroparks.

The Metroparks are looking for its next class of volunteers to help keep an eye on the parks, and there are many different programs you can get involved with depending on your interest and availability.

“Right now we’re in the midst of VTP, or Volunteer Trail Patrol, recruitment. We’re looking for new people who are interested in going out and really being the eyes and ears for our park district,” said Emily Foshag, the volunteer engagement specialist for Metroparks Toledo. “They’re the ones who are boots on the ground, getting involved with people outside in the parks if they may have questions.”
