Oakland city leaders were supposed to meet on Tuesday morning to discuss the Coliseum sale and whether the city will have to make steep budget cuts because of it, but the meeting was canceled at the last minute.
Finance and Management Committee Chair Kevin Jenkins told KTVU the committee was supposed to have met at 9 a.m.
But Jenkins said he got an email Monday night from the city administrator saying the financial reports needed for the meeting weren’t ready.
The meeting to present the Coliseum sale financial report and fourth-quarter city revenue has been rescheduled for Oct. 22.
A separate Nov. 19 meeting is when council members would discuss if and when cuts have to be made to the budget.
The timing of that first $15-million payment to Oakland for its share of the Coliseum has led to a dispute between the mayor and some city councilmembers.
