OOLOGAH, Okla. — Oologah-Talala High School has an increased security presence Thursday morning after a social media post from a former student indicated a potential threat, the district said.
The district said administration was notified of the potential threat around 7:45 a.m. and implemented lock-out procedures.
The Rogers County Sheriff’s Office and Oologah Police Department searched the school and found no credible threat. The lock-out was lifted shortly after 9 a.m., the district said.
The former student was located and taken into custody by law enforcement.
The district is investigating the situation and additional law enforcement personnel will remain on campus to ensure student safety.
