Philadelphia’s SNACKTIME releases six-track EP ‘This Is Dance Music’ [Video]

SNACKTIME’s latest track ‘SDTS’ reminds me of the hook on The Notorious BIG’s ‘Party & Bullshit’ a little. Only this time, it’s about smoking, drinking, and talking shit.

As the lyric video opens, the guitarist and drummer wear Sixers jerseys. Throughout its storytelling, we learn that the septet are booked and busy stating that “We had three damn gigs/all before six”. What does it sound like? In short, it is smooth rapping paired with live instrumentation that your parents and grandparents could enjoy if there’s a clean version without the swear words. Having started in 2020 when the global pandemic put us all on pause, SNACKTIME set out to make music that would inspire people to come together and dance.
