Investigating police officers have quashed rumours that a gun was involved in an alleged murder in Plymouth. A manhunt is underway for two men after a man was fatally stabbed on Cambridge Road yesterday (Monday, November 4).
Police have confirmed that a weapon potentially used in the attack has been located and seized. They have urged people not to speculate online about the ongoing murder investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Steve Fleetwood, who is leading the investigation, said in an update this morning (Tuesday, November 5): “I can confirm that a weapon that was potentially used in this incident has been located and seized.
“We are aware of rumours circulating but can confirm that this weapon is not any form of firearm. We would also urge people not to speculate on social media about the circumstances around this matter.”
