Princess Diana’s Namesake Award Celebrated at Anniversary with New Song [Video]

The U.K.’s award-winning Rock Choir is harmonizing for the 25th anniversary of The Diana Award established in memory of Princess Diana by releasing a special new charity song.

On Oct. 31, Rock Choir will drop the official music video for the song, “Make Your Own Kind of Music — Live at Althorp,” with the tune to debut on Nov. 1. Around 350 members of the contemporary choir convened to record their rendition of “Make Your Own Kind of Music,” originally released by Cass Elliot in 1969, in September at Althorp. 

Rock Choir’s rendering is raising money and awareness for The Diana Award during the organization’s 25th anniversary year, a statement said. The Diana Award is the only charity established in memory of Princess Diana, who died following a car accident in Paris in 1997 at age 36.
